I have weirdly come around to EriKat? Like, Karkat's limitless supply of attention weirdly fulfilling Eridan's loneliness and self isolation. Eridan pushing people away with his weird hierarchy obsession but it failing to work with Karkat bc 1: he doesn't know Karkat's exact blood color and 2: Karkat would just call bullshit every time. Karkat can get super invested in other people's issues and would pretty quickly deduce the source of Eridan's bullshit and relentlessly push Eridan to actually deal with it. Eridan would hate being bothered about it so often But Would Also have someone in his life who gives a shit about him, and not just out of pity.
Also if it ever got flush the whole opposite sides of the blood caste thing would probably get them both really flustered like that's some classic pulp novel shit.
