Forgotten/Underappreciated Characters

Which characters do you believe have been forgotten or cast out in favour of more popular ones? Which ones do you sometimes genuinely forget is actually there, just because they might not have made a huge impact on you?
A big one for me is Tavros because as sweet of a character as he is, he just mainly faded into the background for me, especially when surrounded by other characters. Jake and Jade are ones I would forget about as well, though the Pesterquest Jade route has ignited a new interest with her. As for underappreciated characters, I feel like Aradia sometimes fades out of focus, mainly because she fucked off half-way through, though I still adore her. Jane is another one, and while the epilogues didn't exactly... portray her in a good (or in my opinion, accurate, but that's not the discussion here) way, but I still enjoy her immensely.

I genuinely forget that Arenea was supposed to be an important plot point... I also tend to forget how much she fuckin rambles on and on and on

The entire carapacian race, mainly
They're such an important part of SBURB and they were literally thrown aside so the alpha kids could talk about their teenage drama. The one carapacian everyone remembers, WV, is reduced to a silly comic relief that does absolutely nothing and that Dave and Karkat pretend is their small child they have to care for and protect. And when they get to Earth C, WV gets to rule a carapacian KINGDOM. D'you know how insulting that is for his character arc?! The republican revolutionary who named himself the MAYOR because he hated KINGS and MONARCHY? Jesus. He died and we don't even get closure on how and why. Probably out of spite for these squishy-skinned people who don't bother to listen to him
And the injustice doesn't even stop there, on the snapchat upd8s, Bec Noir being basically equated with Slick and given the leadership of the Felt is such a disservice to Slick's character. He didn't fight an exact replica of himself from another universe and face his internal demons just so a dumb one armed fool can wobble in and take his place of leadership as if they were the exact same person

Oh boy that is a big agree over here too. I wish we could have gotten more PM content and some examination of the Mayor after the kids did their time-skip warp thing. When I first read HS, I was obsessed with the exiles and they still hold a special place in my heart.

i'm not really a fan of her, not to say i dislike her im just indifferent mostly, but she definitely lacked in screentime compared to all the other trolls and didnt really get a chance to differentiate herself all that much

Absolutely continue to be salty, because you're absolutely right, please continue saying and spreading this. i loved the little dudes, especially ms paint and the mayor, god i wish we had gotten more from them. I especially wish we had gotten more of the carapacian politics and warwith how played up they were in sburban lore, but the queen was really all that mattered and it sucked

These bad-at-their-jobs bois have more power than most of Paradox Space,
Are basically a traveling circus for Jujus, the most powerful things in said Universe,
And their antics are pretty darn funny,
Plus more lore!

Sollux. He fucks off from the plot on purpose but god I miss my boy. I feel like he has so much untapped chemistry with a lot of different characters.

I think I'm gonna go with Tavros here. He's not really forgotten, per se, but he pretty much only matters (both in the comic and in conversations about the comic) in relation to Vriska, and I'm a bit worried about how the story's going to treat him as HS^2 (& PQ) continue. Is their dynamic going to stay the same as in the comic? Is he going to be used as a tool for forgiving Vriska and then discarded? or going to be given some actual personal goals and an identity outside of her? It sucks that he's only really gotten be characterized next to Vriska thus far, and that he's generally been the butt of the joke in the scenes where she's not doing anything. Give him a break, let him be his own guy.
