Played Mituna's route and it was fairly bland. The problem with him is that his primary character trait of being a 4chan shitposter is seen as tied up with the whole brain damage business, and without that he's just dull - the route mainly ends up cribbing from Sollux.

I streamed Befriendus with a group and overall we had a positive reaction. Meenah felt like her and we were impressed by the length of the route (the guy reading the narration actually had to stop after the first round). The art's real nice and the music? Really dig it, it's nice. I don't even really like Meenah and this route made it hard for me to be actively annoyed with her and the guys who did like Meenah were all very pleased with her portrayal.

Mituna I understand requires a whole different portrayal since what we see in Homestuck is after he basically shorts out his brain, which I think is probably the interesting angles for a few of the characters we can potentially meet in future installments (and I hope so; I think Damara, Horuss, and Cronus are all significantly different pre-game). I personally really liked him, he's like a less abrasive Sollux and kind of reminds me of some of my friends. It also captured that bit we learned about him where he desperately tried telling anyone who listened about the impending doom poised to destroy everything really well.

Finally the last bit I think I really want to talk about: the Vriska journals are REALLY interesting. I initially groaned and rolled my eyes when I saw the Not!Mindfang journal appear but when I read the first entry I ended up feeling oddly excited for the next one? Then by the second one I was hooked and itchy for more. God I must be extremely thirsty for Beforan Ancestor lore but I really like seeing how they could have been and that's something not many people delve into.
