Jake was friends with gcatvros, which is why Tavros Crocker is named after him. I almost forgot about that as well, due to the fact that gcatvros isn't even mentioned in the epilogues. I mean, Harry Anderson Egbert is named Harry Anderson Egbert. He has John's last name. His name isn't John. It isn't Roxy. John and Roxy didn't name Harry after one of their friends for no reason. Why is Harry named Harry but Vriska and Tavros are named Vriska and Tavros? I mean, maybe Vriska named Vriska is just some troll biology society shit I don't understand, but Tavros is a human. As far as I know, Jane was never really close to Tavros. It's just weird.

This kinda stuff happens in real life all the time, but it's simply easier for the audience to remember names if everyone in the story has a unique one. Hamilton got around three of its characters being Georges by never calling any of them George alone, and it certainly helped that they all had unique personalities. Tavros Jr.'s only distinctions from Tavros are that he's a human and he has a different history. The Tavroses have the same personality, and it would serve to make Tavros Jr. more of his own character, if only cosmetically, if he had his own name. supposed to be rule of funny? Perhaps if Tavriss were the complete opposites of their namesakes and kept the dynamic, it'd be a joke, but they're nearly the same characters. It feels unrealistic that the characters named after Tavros and Vriska have their names and personalities and dynamic.
Human tavros already shows he has more will than his troll namesake. And i would say that Vrissy in fact reminds me more of Aranea than Vriska. I like Vrissy and Tavros Jr. much more than Vriska and Tavros, but it would be nice if they were more distinct from their Alternian counterparts. Harry Anderson has epic hair and that's all there is to say on the matter.
